Bomb threat at Nelspruit Police Station

The SAPS Explosives Unit and the K9 Unit searched for a bomb.

The police are investigating a bomb threat incident that occurred at Nelspruit Police Station on Friday, January 31.
a member of the Explosives Unit received information from a Polsec member that a bomb might have been planted in Nelspruit Police Station. The threat had been made by telephone call.

The SAPS Explosives Unit and the K9 Unit attended the scene. The members were evacuated from the building and services were halted. A search was conducted,” she said.

Ndubane added that after a two-hour search, nothing was found. The police station was declared safe and services resumed.

An investigation is ongoing.
