Unigrad College in Mbombela has announced the passing of one of its longest serving senior lecturers and much-loved Lowvelder, Ian McDonald (56).

McDonald passed away on Wednesday night, April 30.

He joined Unigrad College 21 years ago when a full-time course on nature conservation and wildlife management was introduced. He was a highly respected person in the industry and his knowledge of wildlife and nature could be described as astonishing.

He featured on various media platforms, including the National Geographic channel, commentating on topics related to wildlife poaching.
