Roy Heine, husband of Tracy Todd Heine, passes away

Heine’s death has left his family and friends in deep sorrow.

“It is with a shattered heart that I share the sudden and unexpected passing of my beloved Sexy Legs, Roy Heine. We are all still in shock,” says Heine’s wife of nine years, Tracy Todd Heine.

Roy was found dead in his bed at around noon on Sunday, May 4. He reportedly died of massive heart attack.

On Saturday he took part in die Uniwisp 2-in-1 marathon. After the race he went for lunch and then returned home. On Sunday, Tracy’s parents got suspicious when the curtains to his bedroom was still closed.

Henry Sinclair, Tracy’s dad, went to investigate and discovered Roy still lying in his bed.

“The only consolation is that he passed away peacefully in his sleep after having a brilliant run in a 21.1km race on Saturday morning. That night he went to bed, still on a high from his performance, and he just never woke up. We couldn’t have scripted a more perfect passing for an incredible man,” Tracy said.

“There are no words to truly capture the depth of loss I’m feeling; I’m devastated. Roy was my rock, my best friend, and the love of my life. I don’t know how I’m going to live this life without him.”

A memorial service will be held for Roy at Jock Pub and Grill on Saturday, May 10, at 10:00.

A full tribute will be available in Thursday’s print edition of Lowvelder.
