Van Wettens towing company has confirmed that the road is open again for vehicles to drive in the east-bound direction of the Schoemanskloof pass. The driver is still in hospital and recovering from the truck accident that occured this morning around 6:15.

The Mozambican driver transported tomatoes and lost control and rolled the truck, which led to the unfortunate accident. Emer-G-Med arrived at the scene to assist the driver and stabilise him before taking him to Rob Ferreira hospital.
