Hazyview New-Taal Dawn School receives sports kit donation

The school was in need of sports kits to replace the old worn-out gear they were using.

The Hazyview New-Taal Dawn School received much-needed netball and soccer kits from local business, BB Feeds and Parts.

According to the school’s marketing manager, Juanita Carney, they had to source new kits as the old ones were past their prime.

“We sent requests to various businesses. BB Feeds and Parts responded. We are so grateful and the learners love it. It will encourage them to play better. Our school is very active in netball and soccer and the jerseys came just at the right time,” Carney said.

BB Feeds and Parts supports schools in its operational area. “They did not just donate to the school, but gave back to the community by supporting them,” she added.

Marlene Bronkhorst of BB Feeds and Parts said they chose to sponsor the soccer and netball teams as they believe they should give back where they can.

“The principal is a valued customer and approached us last year with the request. We made a promise then and we’re proud to have kept our word. It brings us genuine joy to support the school and see the excitement and pride of learners wearing their new kits,” Bronkhorst said.
