Hazyview Rugby Club secures home final after thrilling victory

The Hazyview Rugby Club make history as they will host the finals on home soil for the first time.

Hazyview Rugby Club (HRC) beat Ngodwana Rugby Club (NRC) 29-12 on June 14, securing their place in the final of the coveted Ehlanzeni Mayor’s League.

The victory sparked joy among players and supporters alike and marked a historic first for HRC – hosting the final against Matsulu Rugby Club on their home ground.
The semi-final showcased skill and determination from both teams, but HRC’s superior cohesion and execution proved decisive.

Their attacking prowess was on full display, while their solid defence limited Ngodwana to just 12 points. This win not only places HRC in the league final but also grants them the significant advantage of playing in front of their home crowd.

The final will be played on June 28 at 15:00, with a large turnout of supporters expected in Hazyview. There is a palpable air of anticipation and excitement. HRC is fully aware of what winning the championship on their own turf would mean, and they are sharpening their strategies accordingly.
