Are you ready to dress up in Vegas style for this year’s Night of a Thousand Stars, which will be hosted at Sonpark Boulevard on Friday, September 5.

Guests are invited to wear some really glam outfits befitting the evening’s dress code, “fabulous”. Expect dashing high rollers, ladies in beautiful dresses, feathers galore and some glitzy jewellery. Hosted under the twinkling fairy lights of the boulevard, this popular event combines fabulous food, high-energy entertainment and community spirit for a great cause.

Now in its 18th year, Night of a Thousand Stars has become a highlight on the Lowveld social calendar and a significant fundraiser for CANSA Lowveld. To date, the event has raised more than R1.9m for cancer awareness programmes and services rendered by CANSA Lowveld.

For one glamorous evening, Sonpark Boulevard transforms into a glittering street restaurant where some of the region’s best restaurants serve a themed three-course meal to guests at beautifully decorated tables. A panel of judges will select the best starter, main and dessert of the evening, with the winning restaurants featured in Get It magazine.

Entertainment for the evening will be provided by the jazz and swing band, Swing City, SAMA-nominated performers who have played in Los Angeles and Montreux. Stix, the talented local trumpet player will also be bringing some Louis Armstrong numbers to add to the star-studded evening.

Tickets are R600 per person, with R300 going directly to CANSA. The tables are almost fully booked, so if you would like to secure a table or a seat, make sure to book straight away.

Restaurants who will be participating this year include Orange, Cicada, Doppio Zero, Blue Gate, O’espeto, Stefano’s, Abeega and Wagyu Groove.
