Famed celebrity show returns to SA
The finale of 'I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!' South Africa season 2 will be broadcast live from London, with viewers voting to decide the winner.
British television favourites Ant and Dec have brought a touch of international stardom to Mpumalanga, giving the province a cheerful shout-out from one of its most breathtaking landmarks – the Blyde River Canyon.
The beloved duo, whose real names are Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, shared a video earlier this month from the canyon’s dramatic cliffs, announcing the second season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! South Africa.
The show, known for throwing celebrities into wild terrain with limited resources, is filmed in a region’s rugged landscape, and this time, Mpumalanga takes centre stage.

In true Ant and Dec style, the clip was light-hearted and full of banter, but the setting was anything but casual.
The Blyde River Canyon – one of the largest green canyons in the world – offers sweeping views, lush vegetation, and the kind of natural drama that fits perfectly with the show’s high-stakes challenges.
While the production team has kept filming details under wraps, the duo’s presence in the canyon has sparked excitement among fans and locals alike.
Even without an official interview, their social media posts have offered glimpses of the energy and scale behind the scenes – and it’s clear that this season is going to be epic.

The show’s finale will be broadcast live from London, with viewers voting to decide the winner. The champion will walk away with £100 000 for a charity of their choice – a tradition that adds heart to the grit of the show.
Local tourism operators have welcomed the exposure, noting that the canyon’s appearance on a global platform could boost interest in Mpumalanga’s natural wonders.

Ant and Dec have hosted I’m a Celebrity since 2002, and their South African spin-off debuted in 2023 with filming in Limpopo.
This season marks the first time Mpumalanga’s landscape takes the spotlight. It will be available for viewing on ITV.
The official date has not yet been confirmed.
