Nigerian man arrested in Mbombela for allegedly dealing in drugs
Authorities were alerted to suspicious activity at a house in Valencia.

An intelligence-driven operation led by the provincial Organised Crime Narcotics Unit, White River K-9 Unit, Tactical Response Team (TRT) and Anti-Gang Unit led to the arrest of a 47-year-old Nigerian national for dealing in drugs early on Thursday morning, December 4.

According to a report, team members received information about suspicious activity at a house in Valencia. Upon arrival at the house, a search was carried out and 1.27kg of suspected crystal meth, 1.86kg of suspected cocaine and about R28 000 in cash was found and seized.
The suspect was charged for dealing in drugs. He is expected to appear in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court today, December 5, but the outcome was not yet available at the time of publishing.

The acting provincial police commissioner, Major General Dr Zeph Mkhwanazi, has applauded the team for their excellent work.
“We are pleased with the success made by members in terms of fighting the trafficking of drugs,” he said.
