Search for missing man in Komatipoort continues

Members of the diving unit are using drones to look for the missing man.

The 59-year-old man whose vehicle, a black Ford Ranger, was swept away from a flooded bridge in Komatipoort is still missing. He reportedly attempted to cross the bridge on Monday, April 27 when his vehicle got stuck in the Komatipoort River.

It is believed that he drowned and the Ehlanzeni Diving Unit have been dispatched to help search for him.

Captain Pottie Potgieter of the unit confirmed that the search will resume today, April 29 and that they will continue to use drones to try and locate the body.
