Lowvelders on a roll for charity

The charity was in aid of shelter pets who need specialised food.

Together with Prime Pet Veterinary Day Clinic and local businesses, the Harley-Davidson Club of South Africa Lowveld dedicated its annual fundraiser to helping Pro Life Pet Rescue provide specialised food for pets with chronic conditions.

Lowvelders came together for a fun charity bowls event to raise funds for the cause. A total of seven teams participated, helping to raise R10 000 for the Thoughtful Food Initiative.

Started by the clinic, the initiative helps animals with health conditions access specialised food as part of their treatment plans.

Shelter pets often do not have access to veterinary diets due to the high cost of prescription food and limited funding.

Teams dressed in their colours enjoyed a day on the bowling green while supporting a worthy cause. Participants also received special prizes, which added to the excitement of the event.
