Former Lowvelder Ashley Erasmus will compete for Team South Africa in the shot put final at the 2026 Commonwealth Games at 21:00 tonight, July 29.

Erasmus, a gold medal winner in the African Games and African Athletics Championships, is a serious medal contender for the event at Scotstoun Stadium in Glasgow, Scotland.

Erasmus is currently attending and competing for the University of Southern California (USC). She is a former Laerskool and Hoërskool Nelspruit learner.
