Drag queens Shenay O’Brien and Genie Wish dazzle sold-out venue at What the Tuck
Guests were treated to comedic interactions, dramatic wardrobe transformations, and an ABBA finale that had everyone dancing.
The audience was both in awe and filled with laughter during What the Tuck, a drag show held at the Botanical Garden Restaurant in Mbombela on Friday, August 7.
The venue was packed to capacity, with every table sold out.
Organiser and guest performer Jacques Lombard opened the show with a musical number, after which drag queens Shenay O’Brien and Genie Wish ensured the event was nothing short of spectacular.
Lombard started the night with his version of ‘Anti Boksie’, which perfectly set the tone for the entertainment that followed.

Performers hit the stage with dramatic outfit changes

The audience was truly entertained by the performers’ comedic interactions and lip-syncing numbers, along with multiple dramatic outfit changes – from full evening dresses in an array of colours to Taylor Swift-esque styles.
Stellar performances accompanied these transformations and kept the audience enthralled.
O’Brien wowed the crowd with live performances that included original songs.

ABBA medley brings audience to its feet

The dynamic duo ensured a successful night, leaving audiences wanting more – two encores to be exact.
The night ended with an ABBA medley, which had guests jumping from their seats to dance and, finally, ‘Time Warp’ from the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
All in all, What the Tuck was a night to remember, and attendees are waiting in anticipation for the next show.
