An avid boater and a big part of the boating community, Gregory Philips writes:
There has not been an incident to date that Doug has not been able to guide me through, no matter how long it takes.

I have been a customer of Doug Vermeulen for the past 10 years and have always been more than satisfied, but this was after a lot of dissatisfaction and a lot of money wasted looking for the right company to upkeep my boat, one of my prized possessions.
I have never dealt with a company more hard-working and honest than Lowveld Marine and this is entirely due to the hands-on running of Doug.
He goes out of his way and beyond to give you only the best.
I can’t begin to tell you how many times my boat has given problems and always at the most inappropriate times, like during your family holiday or that all-important fishing trip, but never fear when Doug is near.
All I have to do is pick up the phone and give him a call, no matter what time and he will more than gladly assist.
There has not been an incident to date that Doug has not been able to guide me through, no matter how long it takes.
It takes a certain type of dedicated man to give up his free time to make sure our holiday or fishing trip continues, and it has always been free of charge.
It’s to be said that Doug and Lowveld Marine have an outstanding reputation in the boating community, he is the only man you go to.
Deon de Waal clearly doesn’t have the first clue about boating, R2 000 or even R4 000 for all the work he expected, what a joke.
If I were Doug, I would have kicked him to the curb the moment he walked in. Can’t imagine his “tall” fishing stories, if he can fish at all.
I, as well as the rest of the boating community will continue to support only Lowveld Marine.
