Reader’s Letter: Care and compassion during emergency are appreciated
Marlies Liebenberg, Barberton writes:

On Friday, August 10 my mom and I stopped at Crossing SUPERSPAR before an appointment with a specialist for my mom.
Barely inside the store my 97-year old mother became disorientated and dizzy and passed out. Two very kind unknown ladies came to our assistance and stayed with me to support my mom until the ambulance arrived to take her to the emergency room (ER) where she was stabilised and later sent home to Barberton.
A huge thank you to the two wonderful ladies who assisted us, complete strangers, for their compassion and care. To the management of Crossing SUPERSPAR, thank you for calling the Hi-Tech paramedics to help us. Not being residents of Mbombela, we do not have the emergency numbers.
To Tristan and her team of paramedics – you are brilliant and totally professional, I have the greatest respect for the way you do your work and the way you helped us at the ER at Nelspruit Mediclinic.
Well done. Dr Basson and his team at the ER, I am impressed with the extensive medical care given to my mom. You guys could not have done more and been more compassionate. Thank you.
Mom has made a complete recovery thanks to the combined efforts of all of you mentioned here. I am grateful.
