Reader’s Letter: Vally family thanks public

The Vally family of Mbombela writes:

With saddened hearts, we bid our loving husband, caring father and doting grandfather, Mahomed Rafick Vally farewell.

He was a gentle, kind-hearted and compassionate person. A man who was regular and punctual with his five daily prayers, his reliance on his Creator was remarkable. He was an exemplary member of his community. The thought of suicide is very far-fetched.

Sadly, our father succumbed to a seizure on Tuesday May 28 at 10:34, causing him to veer his vehicle into a deep ravine.

Due to dense foliage we were only able to find him following a three-day search. He was, however, sadly laid to rest that Thursday evening. We ask that you continue praying for Mahomed and all the loved ones he has left behind.

A heartfelt thanks goes out to the entire family, countless friends, the Mbombela community and the innumerable individuals who rallied to support in the extensive search of our beloved father.

Words cannot express our gratitude to you. May the Almighty reward you in abundance for all your efforts involved in assisting us during Ramadan.

If we have forgotten to show our gratitude for all you have done for us, we are thanking you now. We hope that you knew all along how much your support and assistance means to us. Much love and appreciation.
