Tranquillity students almost on their way to Netherlands

Tranquility martial arts held a golf day at the Agricultural College Golf Course on Saturday in order to raise funds for their tour to Netherlands end of September.

The athletes will be representing South Africa’s President’s team for Tang Soo Do Martial arts. Mei-ling Oliver, Emune van Wyk, Chelsea Seymore, Linique Joubert, Tiaan Joubert and Hugo Smit are the six students who has been chosen for the team. Their two coaches, Christo and Chandré van Wyk will be travelling with them as well as the parents. All keen golfers came to participate on the mashie course with some bad weather conditions. A car wash was available and some delicious potjie kos and boerewors rolls were served.
They will be doing sparring, weapons and forms. “We raised R9 600 at the golf day. The cost per person is R24 000 per person. We would like to thank everyone who made this day possible,” said organiser of the day, Candice Oliver.
