Run for Rhino challenge

Meet Zola Budd and Newton as the patrons for the Run for Rhino challenge at the LVCC grounds on September 28.

Rhino Buddies, a non-profit company and Mpumalanga Parks and Tourism Agency launched a conservation outreach programme that reached 90 000 learners and their educators within the month of August 2013.
A jam-packed programme is planned for the bigday. These include a display of the Loud Pipes aka The Hogs, a local motorcycle club, horsemanship by a local riding club, a display by the SAPS Dog Unit, radio-controlled aircraft, a local art exhibition and a snake display.

The annual Rudaman’s Trophy Potjiekos Competition will be held in aid of rhino protection. Due to this prestigious nature of the competition entrants will be limited to 20 competitors only.
A number of arts and craft stalls for collectors and food stalls to fill the empty bellies will also add spice to the day. The gala event will be preceded by having the top 45 athletes of 1 350 present on the day.
Enquiries: PG on 083-255-9621 or Guy on 083-283-6177.
Registration starts at 09:00.
Distances: 3km and 6km.
