Pumas are the champions
The Steval Pumas had over 6 000 fans in a frenzy as they scored six tries to three to hammer the EP Kings last night.
The Steval Pumas are the 2013 Currie Cup First Division champions. The team showed remarkable character when they scored two tries in the final ten minutes with 13 men on the

field.
Giant Mtyanda and Doppies le Roux both received yellow cards for transgressing the laws on their tryline.
Man of the match Coenie van Wyk scored three tries in the match.
The final score was 53-30. The official attendence figure was 6 199.
The Pumas dominated every aspect of the game and the Kings simply had no answer to the speed at which the Pumas hit them.
The Kings were by no means disgraced but never looked like winning the game.
The Pumas defence was magnificent and they did not allow the Kings to use their possession.
The running rugby that gave the Pumas six tries was spectacular. Often finals are not pretty but the Pumas stuck to what has given them 16 consecutive wins, hard and fast running rugby.
The crux of the Pumas season was tenacity. This was reflected in the last ten minutes when the two Pumas were carded and the Kings awarded a penalty try.
With the score at 39-23 the Pumas moved up gear and Coenie van Wyk and Renaldo Bothma scored brilliant team tries. JC Roos converted both.
The Kings Kyle van Zyl scored a consolation try on the hooter.
