Seniors take to the green

Piet Burger was the winner of the Lowveld SAGE Senior Golf Day held at Kruger Park Lodge on Thursday October 17.

A total of 56 members from the Mpumalanga region converged on the lodge to participate in this well-known tournament for men older than 50.
The Senior Association of Golf Enthusiasts (SAGE) is a group of senior (50+) golfers who have joined together to plan and participate in a fun series of golf tournaments. Events are usually on the third Thursday of the month.
After nine holes of golf it was time for the prize-giving which was presented by George du Toit, chairman Lowveld SAGE Senior Golf. A lucky draw of KWV whiskey was sponsored by Pam Golding and was awarded to Koot van der Heever.

The remaining prizes were sponsored by Hazyview Cold Storage and the Hazyview SAGE members.
The day ended with ‘n scrumptious braai from Rapid Restaurant. Pieter J van Vuuren, Lappies Labuschagne, Fanie Bam and Eugene Minnaar made sure the tournament wouldn’t be forgotten.
