Pupils and teachers go the distance

Hazyview Primary School held its annual cross-country race on Friday, October 25. More than 300 learners participated.

They all tried their best, from grade one to seven.
The grade ones covered a distance of approximately 2km and the grade sevens ran a distance of 8,3km.
The children were in good spirit and determined to conquer any distance. The most exciting part was when the teachers’ race started. It was won by Mr Stephan
Rots, sports coordinator.

It was a fun yet tiring day for teachers and pupils.
Results for the grade seven boys:

first place – Ellon Shabangu, second – Conride Mculu,

third – Bradley Mhlanga.

Results for the grade seven girls:

first place – Deidre
Brown, second – Zuleika Shabangu,

third – Rethabile Chiloane.
