Aces ready to host Sundowns
Two former Bafana Bafana coaches will face off when their teams meet at 19:30 next Wednesday at the Mbombela Stadium in a Premier Soccer league encounter.

Bafana Bafana’s most successful coach, Clive “The Dog” Barker’s
Mpumalanga Black Aces will host the not-so-successful former Bafana coach, Pitso
‘Mr Jingles’ Mosimane’s, top of the Absa Premiership table, Mamelodi Sundowns in
a must-win battle for both teams to cement their place in the country’s most
competitive league,
the PSL.
Coming from an away impressive goalless draw
against Bidvest Wits, Aces will be looking to keep their unbeaten record and
extend their success at this stadium.
Aces, comfortably in the ninth spot on
the log, have only lost one league encounter at Mbombela Stadium and that was
against Kaizer Chiefs, and have only registered one victory against Golden
Arrows.
“The short break we had allowed us to work on a few departments and I
am sure we will be able to match Sundowns.
“There is no doubt that they are
playing good football at the moment, but we have been doing great and with the
crop of players we have, I am sure we will do even better against them on
Wednesday,” said Aces’ spokesman, Gordon Masondo.
Under the guidance of
Mosimane, Sundowns seem to have gotten their rhythm back and this is evident by
the position they are currently occupying. Even though the Tshwane-based side
haven’t been consistent, the soccer fraternity have seen this team dishing out
top-notch football last seen during the days of Piano and shoeshine. Kick-off is
19:30. The Mbombela stadium management has appealed to soccer fans to learn more
about their tickets before attending a soccer match, so that they know where
they are suppossed to be sitted.
