Speckmagic shines in Uruguay
Quick-as-a-flash Steval Pumas' winger, Rosco Spekman, was awarded top point scorer and player of the tournament in the recent Punta del Este Sevens Championships held in Uruguay.

Spekman joined the South African Sevens Academy squad early December last year after he was included for the SA BlitzBokke.
After the squad retained their Dubai Sevens Invitational title at the end of 2013, where they played as the Samurai 7s, they started the year in similar fashion.
While most of us enjoyed a well-deserved holiday, the team
under the leadership of former BlitzBokke star Marius Schoeman, jetted off for the Punta del Este Sevens.
As they did in December, the team returns to South Africa this week as victors. They were crowned champions of the tournament when
they beat an Argentinian professional team Moby Dick 14-19 in the final on Saturday January 4.
Scorers for the South Africans were Nardus van der Walt, Sandile Ngcobo as well as Spekman who scored the winning try.
The team will now make haste for South Africa because they will play in the Sevens Premier League tournament in George next weekend.
A number of contracted Springbok Sevens players will play for the Samurais, but player of the tournament Spekman, has been confirmed as a starter for cricketing franchise, Unlimited Titans, whilst Eastern Cape wing sensation Sergeal Petersen, will wear
the famous gold and black of Kaizer Chiefs Sevens.
The Titans will venture onto the rugby fields for the first time with nationally acclaimed coach, Jimmy Stonehouse at the helm and Spekman on the wing.
