Team ready to dominate
Vodacom League contenders, Mbombela United FC, is back from camp and ready to declare war as they fight for a spot at the National First Division and the Nedbank Cup's last 32.

United resumed their league campaign yesterday at the
KaNyamazane Stadium and will travel to the Thulamahashe Stadium on Saturday for
a Nedbank Cup encounter. Speaking about their preparations after the long
Christmas break, United’s head coach, Alex Zondo, said they were soldiering on
and they will fight tooth and nail to achieve top honours.
“We just got back
from camp where we had enough time to work on some of the departments, so that
the team can function as one engine.
I was happy with the manner the boys
handled themselves during the Christmas break, because they came back fit and
this made our preparations much easier,” he said.
“We are ready for the
Nedbank Cup and to represent the province well in this competition. We are
however not going to only focus on the Nedbank because the bigger prize is the
league and qualifying for the NFD,” continued Zondo.
He said there were only
four of his players on the injury list but he wasn’t worried since there were
other equally talented players in the camp.
This team boasts some brilliant
and skilful players such as Bednock Manyike and many others who have been
instrumental in the team’s successes and continue to pose a serious threat to
the opposition.
