Action at the arena

Gauteng action cricket teams made their way to the Lowveld this past weekend to take part in a mini tournament. The event was organised to give kids opportunity and exposure to outside teams leading up to the inter-provincial tournament in April. This new feature on the action cricket calendar should become an annual attraction from now on when the Gauteng teams will reciprocate it in March in Jhb.

Best bowler under 10: Nicholas Burn – JHB Pistols.

Best batsman: Byron Giraudeaux – Easterns (wicked kidz).

The winners of the under 10 final: Easterns against Jhb Pistols was the Jhb Pistols 67-72.

Best bowler under 11: Katie Prior – Mambas.

Best batsman: Zander Smith – Easterns.

Winners of the under 11 final Lowveld Mambas vs. Easterns was Easterns 56 – 17
