Bringing out the big guns
It's game on for the Steval Pumas this week as the Kimberley boys bring one of their strongest teams to Nelspruit for the fourth round of the Vodacom Cup tonight.

With all their injured players back in their squad, except a few doing duty for the Toyota Cheetahs’ Super Rugby squad, the GWK Griquas will definitely have a stronger team on the pitch than was the case in the promotion relegation match last year.
According to coach Jimmy Stonehouse this will definitely test the Pumas’ depth, especially for the Absa Currie Cup series.
“With the five players in Johannesburg with the Lions, this match will test the rest of the players in the squad.
“With an injured Ruwellyn Isbell, the Vodacom Cup quota system has forced me to choose a five-two bench for this match,” Stonehouse said.
This week his troops worked hard on their scrumming technique because the Kimberley boys will bring out all their big guns. And then of course the focus was on the reserves who needed to stay with the structures of the game, as they tend to speed up the tempo when they come up.
The only changes to the team who took on the Down Touch Griffons is Hennie Skorbinski who
will replace Dewald Pretorius in the midfield and – on the bench – Sabelo Nhlapo
comes in on lock.
Kick-off is at 19:00 but the gates open at 16:00 for the diehard fans who want to make use of the Puma braai park. Only gas braais are allowed.
Tickets are available at the stadium and all Computicket outlets.
The Steval Pumas are JW Bell (15), Bernardo Botha (14), Wilmaure Louw (13),
Hennie Skorbinski (12), Jerome Pretorius (11), JC Roos (10), Sinovuyo Nyoka (9),
Renaldo Bothma (8), Uzaier Cassiem (7), Corné Stenkamp (6), Giant Mtyanda (5),

(1).
On the bench is Frankie Herne, DeJay Terblanché, Sabelo Nhlapo, Brian
Shabangu, RW Kember, Reynier van Rooyen and Justin van Staden.
