Mlambo RC players prove to be more dangerous when the chips are down
After a convincing 3-0 victory over Middelplaas Black Pirates, and a narrow escape from being knocked out by Drie-koppies Eastern Stars, Mlambo RC will need to bring their best game this weekend.

They will take on Mdladla Peace Maker.
This follows a last 16 draw on May 6 in KaMhlushwa which has produced a number of encounters, dubbed by supporters as the final before the final.
Mdladla Peace Maker come in high confidence after a 5-0 win over Sihlangu Dinangwe. Thus far Peace Maker have enjoyed an impressive Selati Cup, registering more than a single goal in all their previous encounters.
They are the most favoured to win it.
However, Mlambo RC have proven to be most dangerous when the chips are down.
They came back from a sudden 2-0 defeat by Eastern Stars only to find two late equalisers, which proved to be enough to take the match to be decided on penalties, where they snatched the last 32 spot from Eastern Stars 3-1.
A few injuries on Peace Maker’s side may work in Mlambo RC’s favour as one of their strikers is recovering from a knee injury.
A confident Mlambo RC captain, Felani Mahlalela, posted on the Selati Cup’s Facebook page, asking for fans to stop throwing bottles onto the pitch.
“Now that the best 16 teams are going to battle it out, chances are that your team is not going to make it because they are all strong.
I think we must learn to accept defeat. Stop throwing bottles onto the field and stop attacking officials.
“Let’s behave like civilised beings please,” said Mahlalela.
