Touring sevens team hosted at Penryn

This was the boys’ first match of the season. 

Solihull is on a month-long tour to South Africa with a team of 27 boys. Their rugby season only kicks off at the end of August. They are staying at Ingwenyama Conference & Sports Resort and will train there till they need to go back to Warwickshire. 

The sevens rugby season opened last weekend at Lowveld High School. Penryn came fourth in this tournament. 

“Our next one is in Middelburg at Hoërskool Kanonkop. We will most probably take an u/15 side as well,” said Penryn’s coach, Gunther Swart.

The ultimate tournament takes place early in September in Standerton for the Mpumalanga championships.
