Swimmers impress in pool
Mpumalanga swimmer, Jordyn Minifie broke the record in the 200 individual medley for u/13 girls at the annual South Africa small provinces interprovincial gala recently.

The team consisted of 60 swimmers who certainly did not fail to impress. It was hosted by Eastern Gauteng Aquatics at the St Benendict’s College Pool. The six districts to form part of the small provinces are North West, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Eastern Gauteng, Sedibeng and Northern Free State.
The local team brought home no less than 32 medals (three gold, 13 silver and 16 bronze). Jordyn’s time was 2:36:13.
Mpumalanga finished in third place overall after North West in first place, and Limpopo in second place.
“It was a great gala and a wonderful experience. We would like to thank the Mpumalanga Department of Culture, Sports and Recreation for making it possible for our team to attend by organizing bus transport to and from Bedfordview.
