Tough loss in Selati Cup for Langeloop Real Blue Crane

Playing as Block A Young Leopard, Real Blue Crane had a second chance of spreading their wings when they played against Junior Pirates at the Naas Open Field.

The match kicked off with both sides making it clear they were determined to move onto the next round. Excited Real Blue Crane followers rallied behind their club and were confident they would be walking over their opponents.

The opening 10 minutes was a tough battle for ball possession, with Blue Crane appearing to win.

However, Junior Pirates proved to more experienced than expected when they managed to catch their opponents off-guard, and opened the score for the day.

Blue Crane kept bringing some exciting and entertaining football to the pitch, despite losing a goal early in the game. They kept looking for the equalising goal with numerous shots on target, and always looked threatening whenever they attacked.

Junior Pirates’ backline was not a stumbling block for Blue Crane, however, finding the back of their net was proving to be difficult.

The sides went into the half-time break with Junior Pirates in a 1-0 advantage.

Langeloop continued their search for an equaliser when the match resumed. Much like in the first half, it seemed like they would soon score the much-needed goal.

It proved not to be Blue Crane’s day, when Junior Pirates extended their one-goal lead with another one.Langeloop Real Blue Crane worked even harder to get past their opponents defence in midfield, but the full-time whistle blew with a 2-0-score.
