Help fill Mbombela Stadium to the rafters
The Springbok's semi-final opponents of the 2015 Rugby World Cup, Argentina, will venture into new territory when the Pumas take on the Boks in the opening round of the Castle Lager Incoming Series in Mbombela on August 20.
Back-to-back Rugby World Cup champions, New Zealand, will venture away from Johannesburg for the first time since 2011 when they meet the Springboks at Growthpoint Kings Park, Durban on October 8.
World Cup finalists Australia return to Loftus Versfeld, Pretoria.
After only a few weeks, 13 000 tickets have been sold. “If we want to fill up the stadium, we need to sell 800 tickets a day and we are positive that the local community will back our boys at the stadium,” said Mbombela Stadium’s manager, Roelf Kotze.
Mbombela Local Municipality has finalised 10 park-and-ride facilities to ensure the thousands of rugby fans attending the match get to the stadium on time.
They are as follows:
1. Penryn College
2. Hoërskool Nelspruit
3. Nelspruit Primary
5. Laerskool Nelspruit
6. Hoërskool Bergvlam
7. Lowveld High School
8. Valencia Sport Fields
9. Riverside Government Complex
10. Nelspruit Showground
Fans are encouraged to use these facilities to prevent traffic congestion to and from the stadium.
Transport from the park-and-ride facilities to the stadium and back, is free to every match ticket holder.
Parking at the stadium is open from 10:00 but limited space is available. Entertainment at the Castle Gig Rig starts from 12:00 and gates of the stadium will open from 14:00. Kick-off is 17:00.
