Ntuthuko claims misty God’s Window title
LVCC's Ntuthuko Maseko, who was also victorious in 2014, crossed the line first in the 21km in a time of one hour 14 minutes and 22 seconds.
Comrades 2015 winner, Caroline Wostmann, the first South African to win the women’s ultra-marathon since 1998, claimed first place in the Build It God’s Window 10-kilometre race last Saturday.

The races were presented by Legogote Villagers.
Rain and heavy mist made the challenge a cold one with limited visibility and finishers could truly say they had conquered it. “I am very happy with my performance. The weather had no impact on my time as I prefer wet and cold conditions,” said Maseko.
In 2007, he won the 32km of the Selati 2-in-1 Marathon and last year he was placed second over the 21km of the 25th annual Halls Race.
The competition started outside the caravan park and took runners along the Graskop/Ohrigstad Road where the going was relatively easy and pleasantly undulating. Then the route turned right into God’s Window, where a seven-kilometre climb to the top of the hill awaited. This section was a good time to walk and enjoy the view, with the downhill afterwards a great way to make up some time.
Alexis Badenhorst (LVCC), who completed her first Comrades Marathon earlier this year, was the first local runner to finish the 21km in a time of 01:51:09. Badenhorst and Vanessa Bowman (Kempton Park) clocked the same time.
Legogote’s Moris Maiga was the first veteran to finish the gruelling 21km-race in a time of 01:29:14.
Daniel Greeff of LVCC claimed the junior title after completing it in 01:44:00.

Nelspruit Marathon Club’s Japie Lewis and Amanda Oosthuizen walked their way back to the caravan park in a time of 01:21:02 and 01:23:02.
