Phakisa join hands with MRU
At the Pumas 2019 Sponsorship and Kit Reveal, the Phakisa Group and the Mpumalanga Rugby Union (MRU) Amateur Arm yesterday announced Phakisa as a strategic Partner of the Union and sponsor of their official provincial Amateur teams and Club rugby leagues.
Johan Pretorius, CEO and chairman of Phakisa Holdings said that they are pleased to partner with MRU and sponsor the development of Mpumalanga rugby at grass roots level, support the MRU referee and coaches societies, all the official amateur youth and female teams and importantly sponsor the respective club leagues.

By supporting, assisting and developing our club Leagues namely the Phakisa Premier League and the Lowveld and Highveld Phakisa Mayors and Mayors Reserve League’s, this paves the way for the clubs to be able to be more competitive and in turn, develop more home grown provincial and Springbok players,” said president of MRU, AG Visser.
