Sehohle reigned supreme for the sixth consecutive year
For the sixth consecutive year, Lowmed's Folavio Sehohle reigned supreme at the annual Van Wettens Nite Race.

It took place on Wednesday at Ingwenyama Conference & Sports Resort for the second time since it was moved from Mbombela Stadium.
It is a 10-kilometre and five-kilometre route, through the streets surrounding Ingwenyama with the start and finish being at the resort.
Sehohle completed the race in a time of 31:40 and this is an improvement compared to last year. In 2018 he completed the race in 32:17.

In second place was Abednico Mashaba who completed the race in 32:19 and Prince Ndlovu was in the third with a time of 32:47.
Sehohle said the Ingwenyama route is more challenging than what they are used to. In 2017 he completed the race in 30:50.

“This route tests your skills and is tough although if you are fit you can easily complete it. I remember while running when I got to six kilometres I thought to myself I will not be competing in this race again because it was not easy going through that route. It took me about five weeks to prepare,” Sehohle explained.

Chantal Middel-Bowee took second place with a time of 48:07 and Anika Cilliers took third with 48:31. The event was organised by Nedbank LVCC Running Club and this is the 15th race.

“We commend and congratulate all the runners and walkers who participated. We hope they have enjoyed themselves and that we will see them all again at next year’s race,” said Karlien Trumpelmann from Nedbank LVCC Running Club.
“We want to thank Van Wettens for their sponsorship and for their continued support of road running and of this event. The 15 years of sponsorship is a real commitment. Thank you also to Ingwenyama Conference & Sports Resort for hosting this event for the second year in a row,” said Trumpelmann.
