Fitness tested during Halls Cross-Country

The Halls Cross-Country race tested runners' fitness on Saturday.

LowMed’s Folavio Sehohle was in the lead in the four-kilometre race, senior men’s section.

He completed with a time of 12,00. He was followed by Bheki Nkosi of Born to Win, who completed the race with a time of 13,11.

Sibonginkosi Maseko of Ngodwana took first place in the three-kilometre race with a time of
12,02 and was followed by Vusi Lubisi from the same club in a time of 14,09.

Athletics Club’s Chantal Middel-Bovée took first place in the women’s 40 to 45 years category. She completed the race in a time of 16,40. In second place was Anke du Toit and Sonja Human in third.

Martie Naude of LowMed took first place in the four-kilometre race for women (50-54). She completed it in 18,20. She was followed by Hannie Veiss in second position and Linda de Bruyn in third. In the eight-kilometre race, in the senior men’s category Thabiso Mashele of Ngodwana took the lead with a time of 25,37.

Walter Zikhali of Ngodwana Club took first place in the men’s 35 to 39 age category with a time of 30,26.

Dolen van der Berg of LowMed won the women’s (35 to 39) four-kilometre race with a time of 18,06. In the second place it was Karin Pauer and Chantelle van Longerberg in third.
