Mbombela Golf Club was swathed in green and gold for the Legends’ Golf Day held on Friday.

Former Springboks John Smit, Joel Stransky, Danie Rossouw and Grant Esterhuizen were among the celebrities who played and, in the evening, shared stories of their playing days.

The day was a huge success with a full field teeing off on the immaculate Mbombela course. The competition format was a better-ball Stableford. Henk de Ridder and Esterhuizen claimed first place with46 points.

Martin Hope and Etienne Ulford were second on 44 points, and Flip du Preez and Schalk Roelofse third on 43.
