Stefan de Villiers, Blake Linder, Mark Kinnear, Jacqueline Herbst, Bertus de Bruyn, Sihle Nyakane and Madeleine Prinsloo of Lowvelder will be there to capture all of the action.

Saturday, February 22, marks a significant milestone in the world of high school athletics – the 75th BUCO Lowveld Interhigh. Hosted at Hoërskool Rob Ferreira, this prestigious event brings together the best track and field athletes from across the region.
Hoërskool Nelspruit, Rob Ferreira, Bergvlam, Lydenburg, Lowveld High School, Penryn and Hoërskool Barberton will be participating, each eager to claim victory and add to their school’s legacy.
One of the events that will surely attract attention is the U19 girls’ 200m race, where athletes will have the chance to challenge the longest standing Interhigh record set by Marna van der Burgh (formerly de Villiers) in 1975. Marna, who will be attending the event, has expressed her excitement. Her record of 24.8 seconds has stood the test of time, and it will be interesting to see if anyone can surpass it. This event will take place at 15:20.
