IN PHOTOS: Primary schools thrill in Ehlanzeni hockey finals

The action was non-stop for the top four placings.

The action was fast and furious at the Ehlanzeni Primary Schools’ Hockey League finals played at Hoërskool Nelspruit on Saturday, September 13.

The top four teams in each gender age group played in semi-finals, with the winners later competing for the gold medal and the losers for the bronze.

Penryn Prep were crowned the U13 boys champions after a 1-0 victory over Laerskool Lydenburg.

In the U13 girls final, Laerskool Nelspruit defeated Uplands Prep 3-1.

Lydenburg and Laerskool Laeveld clashed in the U12 boys final, with the Lydenburg team claiming a 1-0 win.

In the U12 girls final Laeveld and Nelspruit played to a 2-2 draw after regulation time and the match went to a eight-second shoot-out that Laeveld won 3-2.

• U12 Boys: Bergland 1-0 White River
• U13 Girls: Laeveld 0-0 Lydenburg – shoot-out 2-1 Laeveld
