Guppie swimming club splash

Guppie Swimming Club held its ninth annual gala on Saturday March 8 at Uplands Prep. In total 192 learners participated.

The gala catered for three- to six-year-olds who took part in the first section with noodle and kickboard races, and in the second the seven-year-olds to open category. The competition was tight and the learners put their hearts into earning the medals that were sponsored by Budget Van and Truck Rental. Each one walked away with a big smile and a goodie bag.

The highlight was the amusing parent race. Everyone enjoyed the day. The swimming club has had a very successful season, with the star swimmers receiving the more medals than before and breaking several records.
