Tots take to the track for annual sports day
Sack races and wheelbarrow races were some of the fun activities nursery schools participated in at the Summerhill Prep School sports day.
The tiny tots of the area had loads of fun participating in interesting activities at Summerhill Prep School’s annual sports day. Seven local nursery schools, along with teachers and pupils’ families participated in events like the piggyback race, three-legged race, sack race and wheelbarrow race.
The food stalls were a hit with Anita Pillay’s famous curry and delicious hot dogs on offer and the kids had cold drinks and sweets galore to choose from.
The day ended with a relay run and tug-of-war competition between the parents of the different schools. Dienkieland Nursery School won the men’s and women’s relay, as well as the women’s tug of war, while Mickey Mouse Nursery School won the men’s tug of war. To reward the children for their good participation, each received a medal.
