Uplands alumni continue their excellence on the sportsfield

Uplands College’s excellent hockey coaching is evident even after pupils have graduated. The school recently announced that five matrics who played in last year’s 1st XI boys’ hockey team are all playing mainline varsity and premier league hockey. Dean Carlisle, Jai Nan Helena and Keagan du Preez are playing for Tuks, Zwe Sacolo for Wits and Tristan Scholz at Cannock in the UK.

“The greatest measure of our educational success is not our win rate at school but our win rate after Uplands. It’s whether we have equipped our players and students with the skills, passion, energy and grit to succeed in the world,” the school’s statement read.
