Uplands and Penryn go head to head

The high school sports teams of arch-rivals Penryn and Uplands clash twice a year. Their recent first winter-sports derby was rained out on the weekend of April 18 and 19. Some of the netball teams managed to complete their matches at Penryn last Wednesday.

The first teams did not play. Uplands’ second team beat their counterparts from Penryn with 18 to two.

The u/16 A team’s clash was much more closely contested, with the hosts beating Uplands by 14 goals to 12.

The next round of the two-legged derby was scheduled to be played during the annual Uplands Festival from May 29.
