Uplands rewards excellent sportmanship

Players who performed in an outstanding manner during the winter sport season were rewarded at Uplands College's Winter Sports Awards dinner.

Colours and honours were awarded to deserving players and trophies were handed to those who stood out from the rest during the past winter sport season at Uplands College.

The awards ceremony is held annually after the conclusion of the winter sports season and coaches and players were congratulated on an excellent year.

The trophy winners were:

Most improved player – Kate James (girls hockey), Luke Korb (boys hockey), Devon Eaton (rugby) and Anja Snyman (netball).

Best player of the year – Caitlyn Cordeiro (girls hockey), Bevan Carlse (boys hockey), Willie Engelbrecht (rugby) and Nothando Mhlanga (netball).

Sportmanship and endeavor – Laura Pakendorf (girls hockey and netball), John Smith (boys hockey) and Jacques Rabe (rugby).
