Colourful young players take to the sport field
It was all colour and fun when Laerskool Nelspruit held its annual mini-cricket and hockey sports day for grades R, 1 and 2 pupils to prepare them for the forthcoming school leagues.
Pupils were divided into teams of different colours in both these sports. Parents and teachers were on duty to make sure everyone got the chance to bat and bowl in the cricket games.
Marketing and media liaison, Johan Orton, said the event was enjoyed by all the Nellie pupils who were involved.

“Everyone got a cold drink and ice lolly at the end of each game. We’d like to thank all the parents and staff who helped to make the day a great success,” he said.
