Both teams win at interhouse
The rainy weather and strong winds didn't bother Beacon College athletes in the least during their interhouse competition last week.
Dressed in red and blue, the primary school pupils of Beacon College excitedly assembled at Malelane Rugby Club for interhouse athletics on Friday morning.
The red Ferrari team and the blue Lamborghinis competed in long distance running, sprints and shot put, with learners from grade one to seven participating.
The rainy weather and strong winds didn’t bother the athletes in the least, with most enjoying the cool weather.
The competition ended in a tie, with the events proving a good way to test their fitness.
The top athletes will have the opportunity to compete in circuit athletics meets at Laerskool Malelane on Tuesday and next Saturday.
