Tickets to experience the new Emnotweni are flying fast

With just days to go until the music spectacular featuring sensational South African songstress Lira to launch the bigger and better Emnotweni, the casino is urging people to book their tickets fast.

NELSPRUIT –  There are still some available at the casino’s Customer Service Desk at R180 per person. “Tickets are flying but, we are pleased to announce that our new, ample Arena can accommodate more people. We are expecting a capacity crowd for the launch event which promises to be one of the music highlights of the 2013 entertainment calendar,” says the casino’s General Manager, Ig Olivier.

According to Olivier, the music event will also feature some of Nelspruit’s most-promising, emerging performers. “In the line-up for Friday, we are featuring four young performers who really stood out for their raw performing talent at the Emnotweni Eisteddfod showcase at the Civic Theatre in September. We are committed to developing the local performing arts industry and nurturing young talent. and are thrilled to use our launch event as a platform to showcase their exceptional abilities. It is fantastic exposure to be part of the opening act to one of South Africa’s biggest stars,” says Olivier.

The performers offering a special prelude to Lira’s concert are solo guitarist Alex Moldovanos, who will perform “Why wait for falling stars to make your wishes”; vocalists Angela Khumalo and Ben Qwabe who will sing a duet of Alicia Keys’ “If I ain’t you”; Ntando Dlamini who will dance a Hip Hop Solo to “Cold Case Love”, and Bianca Caldeira who will sing a rendition of one of Adele’s famous songs. The concert will be the first big event to be staged at the multi-purpose Arena which boasts state-of-the-art equipment, and over 700 square metres of floor space.

Other events to be staged at the new Arena in the coming weeks include comedy shows by the Dingalings, a Christmas buffet spread as well as New Year’s event. In the new year guests can look forward to see Theuns Jordaan, Joey Rasdien and Barry Hilton in the first three months.. For more information please call 013- 757 4300 or visit www.emnotweni.co.za
