NELSPRUIT – Award-winning comedian, John Vlismas packs some added flavour into Emnotweni’s Easter weekend entertainment line-up with what promises to be a spectacular show and a very good Friday.
One of the countries’ most recognised, original and manic stand-up comedians, Vlismas will perform his characteristically audacious brand of stand-up comedy. Taking no prisoners and sparing no holy cows, Vlismas will share his no-holds-barred opinions of life, society and everything else. He is renowned for his unrestricted opinions on issues that resonate with almost every South African. Bursting with personality and energy he is sure to have the audience canning themselves.
Tickets are on sale at R90 per person at the casino’s customer service desk. The show will take place at the arena at 19:00 but doors will open at 18:30.
Emnotweni’s general manager, Ig Olivier, says comedy fans can expect loads of brand-new material, plenty of creative surprises and guaranteed laughter from start to finish. In an interview with GQ Magazine, Vlismas described his personal style as experimental emo-goth, MPD trucker rabbi with shades of cluelessness.
According to Olivier, they are thrilled to have John Vlismas perform. Though not every one’s cup of tea, and most definitely not for the sensitive viewers or children, he is one of South Africa’s most creative, prolific comics on the local and international circuits.
