Toyota Induro race provides lots of action

The Imperial Toyota Nelspruit Hazyview Enduro was a tough but enjoyable race with the top riders expected to complete six laps of the red loop and green riders six laps of the green route.

The weather played along beautifully. The day started with a buzz as everyone was getting ready and setting up for the race ahead. The riders all lined up for the start and what an awesome sight it was – you could see the excitement and enthusiasm in their eyes as they got ready to race for the day. They started with a bang, flying down the open track and into the prologue section before heading out across the river and into the bush.

The pro riders were really quick with the first pro in after first lap in 45 minutes. They were giving it their all. You could see the determination on their faces once the exhaustion started to takes its toll after the third lap but these guys were not about to give up – they were in it till the finish.
Despite all the challenges on the day competitors expressed only enjoyment and admiration for the course designers. The kiddies race, a highlight on the day, had a great turnout with some very excited riders in attendance giving it their all and what an awesome sight it provided.

Prize giving was held on the terrace at Hippo Hollow Country Estate and with a couple of hippo joining the fun by grazing outside on the lawns.
