Time is right to enter the property market

If you are considering looking at property for sale in Barberton, now might not be the ideal time to sit on the fence, in fact, experts say that this could be the best opportunity to dive into the property market as prices could begin to soar again in the near future.

Entering the property market, especially if you are looking at property for sale in Barberton, could be a smart move on your behalf right now as there has been some positive movement in the South African property market.

This year got off to a pretty slow start, and despite the fact that there is still a drop in sentiment in some parts of the market, there are actual signs that the property market on a whole is starting to bounce back.

Adrian Goslett, who is the Regional Director and CEO of RE/MAX Southern Africa, discussed the fact that now may actually be the perfect time to enter the market, before prices really start to spike once again.

In terms of performance between April and June of this year, there were around 38 000 bond registrations in total. This essentially meant that there was a 20% increase when looking back to the first quarter of the year, which works out to a whopping 6100 more registered bonds.

Another positive point was the fact that there were fewer cancellations, with 1916 fewer bonds being cancelled than there were in the first three months of the year.

If you are finding all the numbers a little confusing as to what it means, experts explain that this all showcases that the market is beginning to strengthen.

This was expected by many, and Goslett summed it up perfectly by saying, “As predicted, the second quarter of 2018 has proven to show signs of a strengthening market. Provided fuel price hikes settle into more sustainable territory, and our political climate remains stable, we predict steady growth to continue into the third quarter of this year.”
