BURGERSFORT – A mob attacked and seriously injured a middle aged man from Ga Motodi on Saturday.
Nthabeleng Sebopela was attacked in full view of the community at about 15:00.

According to his family, they took him from his home, kicked him, hit him with sticks and stones, and dragged him to the secondary school.

“The family watched helplessly during this ordeal. There was no concrete proof that he is the one stealing plasma TVs. He was attacked for something he did not do. We wish that he can get justice in this matter. He is lucky to be alive but we are scared he might be disabled,” said a family member who chose to remain anonymous.
The family said the victim was recovering at Dilokong Hospital.
